Prayathanam is a organization where they bring out the young committed dancers and also the dance teacher's dedicated to the idea of "Illumination". Prayathanam showers the knowledge of both the theory and practise of dance as a medium. They strive to reach out to the dance community, enthusiasts and anyone else interested in the quest to better understanding of the art.
Kavinaya Natiyalaya is a part of this great organization.
Sice 2017 we have been practising our art form with atmost comfort in our own style under prayathanam.

Salagai Poojai is a cermony of honoring the salagai or the ankle bells of the dancer. Its one of the most auspicious thing in a dancers costume. For the first time the student receives the Salagai from guru which is placed at the altar and blessed. Salangai Poojai is a performance with adavus and 2 items that they learn from the Margam. Because the person is saying that he\she is going to learn and get trained for Arangetram further in the upcoming days. In Kavinaya Natiyalaya more than 30 Salagai Pooja's are done for hundreds of students. A good practise of dancing in "Paddy" is a traditional method of doing Salagai Poojai. Kavinaya Natiyalaya was the first dance school to start thus pleasant practise whereas everyone does this watching our ritual's.
Students are well traimed for 3-4 years, then Salagai is given to them with a grand function in front of everyone.

Arangetram means "climbing or ascending the stage ". A classical dancer being a disciple trained by his\her guru for many years can ascend the stage after 7-8years and pass the knowledge of the art form to other aspiring learners. It will be a live performance infront of huge number of audience.
In kavinaya Natiyalaya 7 arangetrams are done successfully with many students. Many margams in different genre with more collection of items have been taught to students.
Even now yearly once Arangetrams are done for experienced students of KNSB in a grand way.
Arangetram items are made up of 56 adavus the ancients choreography is followed properly here.

Thattukazhi is a plank - made up of hard wood usually they are teak woods with a stick, It is used to learn and practise dance movements as per the tala and jathi. The major requirement in Bharathanatyam. The plank where we beat with a stick to creat the sound is so called as "World(pirabanjam)" and the stick is denoted as the power of Brahma , Vishnu, Sivan. As its believed like this way in Hinduism we need to give proper respect to the legendary people who made this art form to make every people happy in the world. This thattukazhi is the magical instrument being an intermediator inbetween the guru and the disciples. It works as a hidden communication inbetween them.
In Kavinaya Natiyalaya every faculty is trained to play this thattukazhi. Even thattukazhi arangetram are done for many students who posses the teaching training in present and future.

Nattuvangam is the south indian form of Rhythmic recitation. Its a kind of cymbals played to accompany a Bharathanatyam performance. Kavinaya Natiyalaya not only is well fortifies people in Bharathanatyam also we teach musical instruments related to Bharathanatyam.
This practise of doing Nattuvangam is given only to the well experienced teacher training students with are accomplished students who have already done their thattukali arangetram.
The finest training to become a teacher and a foremost performer. More than 10 years of experienced candidate can be given Nattuvangam practise. Proper training with government ceretified course and arangetram for this practise will be given in a qualified manner.

The professionals who engage in training the prospective teachers are the super senior students of KNSB for more than 10 years. We train them with workshop's, make them observe the dance deeply,we take them to many programs and university visits, even prayathanam makes them reach huge place in art forms. Perfect thattukazhi training, nattuvangam training, thalam training with Caranatic music is given to them. More than 30 teacher's in 20 branches all around tiruppur are working efficiently and making many people get the juice of art form in a proper path.
